Monsters Inc. 3D Review

Monsters Inc. 3D is a re-release of the 2001 movie. It stars John Goodman as the voice of Sully and Billy Crystal as the voice of Mike. It was the fourth Film produced by Pixar.

Monsters Inc. tells the story of two monsters, Sully and Mike, who work for a company that generates its city’s energy by scaring children. The monsters are in-fact terrified of the children and think they are contaminated. When a little girl sneaks into the monsters world it turns Sully and Mike’s world upside down.

Pixar have brought the magical Monsters Inc. to a new generation by re-releasing it in 3D. Sully’s fur looked so realistic in the original movie but I have to say the 3D really made it impressive, unfortunately, that was as good as the 3D got for me. The movie is full of heart- warming moments and is also laugh out loud funny. It is timeless but if you have it on DVD then it’s not worth paying to see it in 3D.

For those who have never seen Monsters Inc. it is a good way of introducing new viewers to the characters before the release of Monsters University this summer telling the story of how Sully and Mike first met.

Did you know?

News leaked in early fall of 2001 that this movie would feature the first teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones. Hundreds of Star Wars fans paid admission for the movie just to see the teaser trailer and reportedly some left after seeing it.

  1. Monsters Inc. 3D was outstanding. I am thinking to show this movie to my kids as well. I am sure that they are going to enjoy it to the fullest. Both my kids are fond of watching the shows and I carefully select what they can watch. Recently they are on the list of fun shows by Andy Yeatman and loving these!
