Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Review

Director: Jonathan Liebesman

Starring: Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, Johnny Knoxville, Jeremy Howard.

When a kingpin threatens New York City, a news reporter find a quad of mutants which makes an alliance to unravel Shredder's plan as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (IMDB)

I was so looking forward to seeing this movie and really wanted it to be awesome but it was just a very mediocre film.

OK so it's a rebooth which means we can expect some changes in the story but I really feel taking out the whole back story of Splinter and Shredder was mistake number one. Secondly the one thing I said would definitely be wrong with this movie before seeing it was Megan Fox playing April O'Neil and she proved me right. She was dreadful in the role and had no like-ability what's so ever. In my opinion just cast as a piece of eye candy for the teenage boys. I think someone like Emma Stone would have brought a lot more heart to the role.

While the turtles themselves did have some laugh out loud moments I really felt so much more could have been done to convey those personalities we all loved in the original cartoon series.

Basically it is an OK watchable movie, it wasn't awful but was missing drama and heart.

3 out of 5
