Director: Danny Boyle
Starring: Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen
Steve Jobs was the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. This biopic movie is split into three acts starting in 1984 and set backstage at three iconic product launches ending with the launch of the IMac in 1998. We are taking behind the scenes of the digital revolution but unfortunately the man at its centre is portrayed as a bit of an ass!! Now I have very little knowledge about Steve Jobs but from what I have read from critics, they felt that many fans of Apple would not be happy with the way in which he was portrayed in this movie.
I can't knock the performances by Fassbender, Winslet or Rogen particularly with all the tech jargon they had to memorise but for me this movie was a pure yawn fest. The most enjoyable thing about going to see this was the brunch ice-cream I bought on the way in. I am sure there is an audience that will enjoy this movie but it just was not for me.
