Fallacious Review

Written and Directed by Dee McCullay
Starring: Taylor Belisle, Kyle Turner, Emily Cunningham and James McCauley

Its Halloween night. Any town. Any Year. As the streets clear and children enjoy their candy, darkness falls over a sleepy little town. Where one Trick or Treat-er has come to do more than get candy.

Fallacious is a dark, creepy and gruesome short film.

I really liked the storyline of this short and thought McCullay did a great job at building tension which gave a John Carpenters Halloween feel to it.

The kids gave great performances especially the little girl as the trick or treat-er from hell. Her evil glare kind of reminded me of Isabelle Fuhrman in Orphan. The score was perfect to create an atmosphere of dread and over all a very good short.

My only problem would be; and I hate saying this but I thought Kyle Turners performance wasn't as believable as it could have been. But as I said, over all a good job, I love a good kill and Fallacious certainly delivered there. I look forward to seeing more from Thunderstryker Films.
