Ghostbusters 2016 Review

Director; Paul Feig
Executive Producer: Dan Aykroyd
Starring: Mellisa McCarthy, Kristen Wigg, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones

Well let me start by saying this is the most fun I've had at the cinema in a long time. Ghostbusters is back with a proton fueled bang!!!!

We all know that fans of the original movies were not happy about this rebooth/remake but I'm happy to see how many of them were won over by this fantastic film.

The four ladies fitted into their roles so well. I loved their chemistry and Kate McKinnon was just superb as Holtmann and delivered some of the best scenes in the movie. This film had the same tone, heart, humour and fun that made me fall in love with the originals back in the 80's. I had so much hope for this film and it surpassed all my expectations.

I am not going to go into too much detail and ruin it for you but I will say that each cameo fitted into the plot so well and was quite exciting to watch. There are so many nods to the originals that I think were very well done to satisfy original fans.

My main worry in the casting was that Chris Hemsworth was the new secretary but he turned out to be so funny as Kevin the airhead eye candy of the movie. One thing I will say though, through a lot of discussion with other fans, the point was made that Feig is much better at directing women than men which I think is a very fair point and I think many of you will agree after watching.

For the duration of the movie I was smiling from ear to ear, laughing out loud and had sore cheeks from this when leaving the cinema. I had my little girl with me and she thought it was one of the best films she had seen in her life (all ten years of it lol)

I give Ghostbusters 5/5 and I literally cannot wait for the next installment to the franchise.

WHO YA GONNA CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
