Calling all sci-fi fans, gamers, comic collectors, movie buffs and anime enthusiasts! MCM Comic Con comes to Belfast for the very first time on 7-8 June, and we've got a show jam-packed with geeky goodness in store for you. Here's a round-up of just some of the special guests and attractions that you'll find at the inaugural MCM Belfast Comic Con:
  • SPECIAL GUESTS: Red Dwarf stars Chris Barrie, Robert Llewellyn and Hattie Hayridge - aka Rimmer, Kryten and Holly the Ship's Computer - will be meeting fans, signing autographs and presenting on-stage panels on both days of the show.
  • SPECIAL GUEST: James Cosmo from Game Of Thrones, Highlander, Braveheart, The Chronicles of Narnia, Trainspotting, Merlin and Troy. (Saturday only)
  • SPECIAL GUEST: Best known for starring in TV show Once Upon A Time, Raphael Sbarge is also a noted voice actor, playing Kaidan in the popularMass Effect series.
  • SPECIAL GUEST: As well as playing Churchill in Doctor Who, Ian McNeice's credits include HBO hit RomeValkyrie, A Life Less Ordinary & Ace Ventura. (Sat. only)
  • SPECIAL GUEST: Richard Herd has appeared in a host of movies and TV shows, including Seinfeld, Star Trek: Voyager, Quantum Leap, NYPD BlueThe A-Team.
  • SPECIAL GUEST: D.C. Douglas is best known for his voice acting roles, appearing in games such as Resident Evil 5Mass Effect 2 & 3Tekken 6and Eternal Sonata.
  • SPECIAL GUEST: Courtenay Taylor is best known for voicing Jack in Mass Effect; other games credits include Resident Evil 6, Saints Row 2 & Star Wars: KotOR.
  • SPECIAL GUEST: Following a glittering pop career in S Club 7, Hannah Spearritt starred as Abby Maitland in all five seasons of sci-fi drama Primeval.
  • TOP COMIC CREATORS: The sold-out Comic Village will be home to a wide range of talented artists and writers over the comic con weekend, including Eisner Award-winning artist Glenn Fabry, Simon Bisley, best known for ABC Warriors, Lobo and Sláine, and John McCrea, best known for his collaborations with writer Garth Ennis on titles such as The Demon, Hitman and The Boys: Herogasm.
  • MY PRECIOUS: Warner Bros. Interactive will be giving comic con visitors the chance to get hands-on with recent release LEGO: The Hobbit on the PlayStation 4.
  • RAMPAGING ROBOTS: Robots Live are rumbling into town, bringing with them the 100kg stars of much-loved TV show Robot Wars as well as a Cyberball arena where visitors can pilot their own robot in a hard-fought game of robo-football.
  • OTHER ATTRACTIONS at the inaugural MCM Belfast Comic Con include a retro-gaming zone; onstage talks and panels; leading UK anime distributor Manga Entertainment, the colourful costumes of our Cosplay Masquerade and, of course, more retail stands than you can shake a lightsaber at!

Guests announcements:

1. None other than Virginia Hey will be present at DCC this August!

Virginia Hey is an Australian actress best known for 4 Cult film classic roles! Warrior Woman in Road Warrior/Mad Max 2, as a Bond girl Rubivich in The Living Daylights, in an iconic role in the giant cult hit on television as the blue priestess Zhaan in Farscape, for which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for best supporting actress.

Miss Hey has also appeared in various Australian TV series including yet another cult smash, Prisoner Cellblock H, as character Leigh Templar. Other of Virginia's internationally syndicated roles on television include Neighbours as Beth Travers, E Street as Jennifer St. James, and Pacific Drive as Margaux Hayes. 

2. Who ya gonna call??

Ernie Hudson that's who and you can meet him at DCC this August.

Ernie Hudson is best known for his roles as Winston Zeddemore in the Ghostbusters film series, Sergeant Albrecht in “The Crow”, Warden Leo Glynn on HBO’s Oz and as the voice of Agent William Fowler in Transformers Prime as well as a rumored role in the upcoming CW Arrow spin-off 'Flash'

Having being in nearly 200 movies and series including "Stargate SG-1", "Heroes", “Law and Order” and “Desperate Housewives, Ernie is one of the most versatile actors out there!. 



3. Ian Churchill. Ian has worked professionally in the comic book industry for 20 years.
Debuting on Marvel's X-Men titles, he went on to illustrate for DC and Marvel on some of the following ; Cable, Deadpool, The Avengers, Superman, Supergirl, Teen Titans, Red Hulk, The Ravagers, Richard Starkings' Elephantmen and his own group of supernatural heroes The Coven.
